Overvoltage fault

The frequency converter detects the overvoltage by detecting the DC circuit voltage.

Detection points 1:

The power supply side voltage surge, overvoltage caused by lightning, such as the compensation capacitors are closed or disconnected when the formation of overvoltage, the main characteristics of dv/dt and the rate of change of voltage amplitude are great;

Treatment method:

The absorption device is added on the input side of the power supply to reduce the over voltage factors, such as adopting a parallel surge absorption device or a series reactor in the input side to solve the problem.

Detection points 2:

Inverter deceleration time parameter set is small, heavy load

Treatment method:

A. extended deceleration time; B. if the process is not allowed, then the braking unit and braking resistor.

Note: in the case of frequent braking or long time braking, the braking resistance power should be increased.

Detection points 3:

When the motor drives the potential load lower, the motor will be in regenerative braking state

Treatment method:

External braking unit and braking resistor.

Note: need to increase braking resistance power.
